BRAND NEW, I’M RETRO

Monday, December 7th, 2009

Had an opportunity to build with fellow photographer Aeric Meredith-Goujon a few months ago and just now got to really look at some of those captures. I see my younger braver self in those images and feel the inevitable comeback. Photography has always been my voice yet over the years I’ve collaborated and reflected something I didn’t quite recognize.

WARDELL MILAN

Monday, October 26th, 2009

Got a last minute gig last week through my friend/photographer Mike Brown to shoot some press for Wardell Milan. It was a quick shoot and we got some great images. It wasn’t until today did I really get to check out his work and he is an amazing artist. Enjoy

I MISS FILM – KENZO & JULISSA

Friday, October 16th, 2009

Digital WHY?

Going through my archives I’ve rediscovered the wonderful world of film. Whether is be 35mm SLR , 645, 6×7 , heck I’m about to go shoot with my Holga . I found one of my favorites through the years of two people that inspired me as I came up.

Featuring my main man Kenzo Digital back when he use to take the train, he may be too BIG now. Kenzo Digital is a video artist and director based in New York. He has had films in the Tribeca Film Festival and Mill Valley Film Festival, and was a nominee for the Rockefeller Film Fellowship. He is the apprentice to world renowned video artist Nam June Paik, and has directed music videos and commercial spots. He has feature and documentary projects in development. His latest project “City of God’s Son” is a groundbreaking new form of audio cinematic/musical story telling.

Also in the corner is Julissa Carmona. One of my inspiration for feature films. She produced my first short and believed in me when I was just starting. Today, she produces and directs films for her production company Carmona Pictures along with a group of talented and energetic NYC filmmakers. Blending a distinct combination of unique creativity and passion for film, our team has grown steadily since its inception in 2002. Her production company produces innovative and artistic works, covering the full gamut of filmmaking, extending from short films, commercials, music videos and most recently, into the feature film arena. Carmona Pictures is based on our devotion to the art of filmmaking and the Carmona Pictures team is dedicated to bringing our audience a unique and exciting experience through the extraordinary medium of film.

STREET CULTURE

Wednesday, October 14th, 2009

This is one of my personal projects. I’ve collected portraits, places and the era of NYC before Sept 11th ( Basically when Brooklyn was still Brooklyn; a little bit). This image was one of my first in this series.
