I woke up today feeling creative as ever. My work is progressively becoming more a reflection of me and my eye is sharper then ever.  Along the way I was inspired my many including Joni Scully (mother of a great friend of mine, the equally talented Glori Campbell). I was a regular at their household throughout High School and really absorbed the artist’s life. I was honored & rocked my  classic polo sweater  to pose for a portrait for Joni.  It took a bit longer then I expected but that was because we took breaks and I’m not sure if it was 1 or 2 days. I do remember that I was paying attention to her movement as she captured me with calculated yet passionate strokes. In any case below is me , Young Berman by Joni Scully.

Walking down Bedford Ave, in Bed Stuy Brooklyn last year I overheard a group of teens talking about what munchies to grab. An empty bottle of Hennessy stood by the smallest one as he enhaled his cigerette and said something that changed my day. “Yo, let’s hit up the Bed Stuy Fish & Chip Jumpoff Son”. In a quick jolt they all began to walk and curious I trailed. They arrived only to see that it was closed. I was astonished that it was actually called THE BED STUY FISH AND CHIP JUMPOFF.

I know its not Obama Fried Chicken but Brooklyn we go HARD
