In High School I would always have a camera. Most of my friends didn’t want me to take photos so I started taking photos of stores and such.  I never though anything of them until the great gentrification of Brooklyn began to become clear in my eyes. A few years later I started taking portraits on the streets thus STREET CULTURE was born. It  was the first true photo series I started working on. At first I called it the BUM SERIES because I was focusing on taking portraits of homeless people in urban environments. After shooting a few people I quickly realized that bum was not the right word and later realized that both my urbanscapes as well as people were part of a moment that I was lucky enough to capture. Below are random images from this series.

I shot Royce Da 5’9 album images last year. Its great to see that it is coming alive. Royce has been creating great buzz with his super group Slaughterhouse consisting of  Royce & fellow rappers  Crooked I, Joe Budden & Joell Ortiz.

THE AMAZING KHAY

I had the great opportunity to shoot for her fall collection campaign and our collaboration created some amazing images. Inspired by the Serengeti sunset. I didn’t know before but I do now.

I had a great opportunity last year to co-direct Roc Raida’s music video in the Bronx along with Hip Hop legends Sadat X & Diamond D. It was an experience that I will always have with me. My condolences to his family, friends and true hip hop heads.

Verj R.I.P

Reggae/R&B artist Cateyes shot her music video for her new single “It’s You“. Video was shot at the Crossroads of the World — Times Square — at Hotel AKA and on the streets.

Cateyes got love on her mind. Stay tuned!
